A note from the editorial team

Who we are, and how we work.
To the reader,

Wellness Wire is a health publication. We cover the drugs, the science, and the systems that shape how people pursue metabolic health — the GLP-1s and the newer dual agonists, compounded supply, peptides, longevity, and the telehealth economy that ties them together.

Our aim is plain: publish the read you would want before you start, stop, or switch a medication that is going to be part of the conversation for years. That means leading with the evidence, showing our sources, and saying clearly when the science is unsettled.

We are early. Some of what you see here is still being built, and we would rather tell you that than dress it up. Where a claim is not yet backed by a source we can point you to, we would rather leave it out than overstate it.

Where a piece has been reviewed by a clinician, that review is named on the article, with the date. Everything else is written by the Wellness Wire editorial team and researched from primary sources.

If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it in public, with the correction dated. The editorial inbox is open, and we read what comes in.

How we cover the beat

Six standing rules the editorial team works to.
  1. I

    The evidence, first.

We aim to cite a source the reader can open for the claims we make, and to have read the sources we cite. We do not want to write from press releases.

  2. II

    The reader is the patient.

We write for the person taking the drug, not the person selling it. That reframe decides what a story is about, what we cover, and what we leave on the cutting-room floor.

  3. III

    Not yet individually clinician-reviewed.

Our articles are written and fact-checked by the editorial team. They are not, today, individually reviewed and signed off by a named clinician — so we do not claim a medical review that has not happened. Nothing here is a substitute for your own clinician’s advice.

  4. IV

    We disclose commercial ties, in-line.

Where a page carries affiliate links or another commercial arrangement, we disclose it on the page rather than bury it on a policy page. See the Affiliate Disclosure for the details.

  5. V

    Corrections belong in public.

When we get something wrong, we correct it on the page. The correction is dated, and where it matters we note what changed. You can reach us at the corrections address below.

  6. VI

    No invented experts.

Explainers are published under the Wellness Wire editorial byline. We do not attach fabricated bylines, credentials, or clinician reviews to our work; when a real clinician reviews a piece, that review is named on the article.

These are the standards we are working to, and we will be plain when we fall short of one of them — as with clinician review today. If you think we have missed the mark, the shortest path to telling us is the corrections address below.

No phone tree. The editorial team reads every message.

Where we use affiliate links or run other commercial arrangements, we disclose them on the page — see the Affiliate Disclosure. Questions about any of that can go to [email protected].
